Account Executives / Broker
TLS is seeking AGGRESSIVE Account Executives who have the drive and determination to seek out new accounts and close the sale. You will grow and maintain a portfolio of customers and effectively communicate TLS service offerings to them. You will also cultivate new revenue opportunities from existing customer base. Additionally, you will develop relationships with carriers on an ongoing basis.
Daily Activities will include:
• Call carriers on a daily basis informing them of available loads and negotiating rates
• Provide load information, load times, locations and freight information to carriers
• Call customers on a daily basis – both prospects and active accounts
• Account Management – both carrier and customer
• Strong work ethic (expect to make 50 – 100 phone calls a day)
• Strong negotiation and persuasion skills
• Self directed and good problem solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with rapidly changing priorities
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Must possess strong analytical, strategic selling, and creative thinking skills
• A high sense of personal responsibility
• Strong Customer Service Skills
• Team Oriented
• Strong computer skills
• College Degree preferred
• Sales experience preferred, preferably in transportation
• Existing customer base preferred
