Local and Regional Flat
Drivers 11-25-09
The Current Local and Regional Flatbed position
involves picking up and delivering full and
partial truckloads within a 150 mile radius of
Birmingham or within the Southeastern United
States. This driver must be able to make
multiple pickups and deliveries within a
reasonable amount of time. We do have loads that
require the driver to either tailgate the freight
with pallet jacks, or use forklifts to load and
unload the trailers.
The pay and benefits are listed below:
Starting Pay $14 an hour
Mileage Pay $.33 to $.40 cents per mile depending
on length of haul
Blue Cross / Blue Shield Insurance offered after a
90 day waiting period.
Single Coverage $45 a week
Family Coverage $170 a week
An employee is considered Pre-Regular or Part-Time
until they have completed their 90 probation
period.
One weeks Vacation is offered after one year of
service. Two weeks are offered after 3 years.

Home Time
We believe it is important to get you home
frequently. In the national fleet, you can expect
to be away from home for one and a half to two and
a half weeks, depending on where you live.
Regional and dedicated fleet drivers who live in
the region or where the dedicated fleet operates
are generally home or through their home more
often than national drivers.
